Hi all,
I am looking for a j1 waiver critical care position for 2021 and I didn’t have much luck yet. COVID 19 is not helping also as many places freeze their hiring for the time being. If anyone is aware about an available position please let me know. Thank you.

I would recommend to start by targeting a specific state. Look at the list of states providing Conrad 30 waivers to specialists (eg: Texas Conrad 30 is only open to primary care; New York Conrad 30 is open to specialists as well). From that list figure out where you most want to live. Then start reaching out to all the major hospitals in that state. Some will be parts of bigger hospital systems, which will be the biggest bang for your buck.

Delta Regional Authority has no cap and accepts specialists. CCM only jobs are more frequently in larger hospitals which unfortunately (or fortunately) are often located in bigger cities/metropolitan areas. But there are J1 spots out there, one of my partners is on one. Unfortunately we are not looking at this time, unless we change to a closed model with in house night time coverage.

To build on that, the Appalachian Regional Healthcare system and the Indian Health Service are also cap exempt.

Did you have any luck? I'm struggling too.
