Hey guys,

Quick question. @Ari Rezaei, you might know this... I saw that for Columbia, you need 6 credits of mathematics. Does biostatistics count as a mathematics credit? I took an accelerated Calculus I course that was only 4 credits, and that is all I have taken because that is all I need as a biology major to graduate.

Thanks,
Michael

Yes 1 course calc and 1 course stats is good. That's what I have

I used a psych stats class towards the math requirement and it was fine, so I think biostatistics would probably suffice as well.

I only took calc 1 and statistics 1 and 2, I'd contact admissions to confirm but I'm sure calc + stats 1 will be fine.

@Ari Rezaei @FeralisExtremum Thanks a lot, guys! Just submitted my primary :D

Now that I have your attention, is this considered really late for applying to schools (mid-late August)? Did I shoot myself in the foot? My stats are:

BIO/GC/OC/RC/QR/PAT/TS/AA
19/20/21/23/24/24/20/21

GPA: 3.84
sGPA: 3.89

Kind of freaking myself out seeing how people are claiming this is a somewhat late time to apply...
