Anyone know of any easy ways to obtain Category 2 CME hours without going to a course?

CME Category 2 can be self-designated learning.
Examples:
-teaching physicians, residents, medical students
-reading medical literature
-medical writing
-research
-preceptorship participation

You can probably attain Category 2 just from reading journals
or textbooks.

Be aware that most states require Category 1 CME credit
(which is more highly regulated), not Category 2, to maintain
licensure.

Passing the ABO exam (board certified) counts for 60
Category 1 CME credits.
