It said on CLEAR Website "Ideal candidates should posess an already strong academic background with a keen interest in academic development, inpatient and outpatient care, and research. While preference is given to podiatrists, we train fellows from a variety of medical, surgical, and research backgrounds"

Wow so does that mean other Non-DPMs can also apply and usually what should be their qualifications?

We have many other doctors that come through CLEAR at any given time.

We had 2 Egyptian endocrinologists, we're having an ortho from Tokyo for 1 year, we're having an ortho from Singapore next month. We have a plastic surgeon from Israel expressing interest in coming for a fellowship.

Right now, we have 2 podiatry students from Belgium for 3 months.

It's a nice international community of physicians/surgeons with interest in the diabetic foot.
