Hello SDN community!
I’m a middle of the road applicant so will being complete in late August/early Sept decrease my chances in a major way? What schools should I look at?

Any help is appreciated!

I suggest these schools with your stats:
Your state public schools:
Vermont
Quinnipiac
Albany
New York Medical College
Seton Hall
Penn State
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
George Washington
NOVA MD
Oakland Beaumont
Medical College Wisconsin
Rosalind Franklin
TCU-UNT
Loma Linda
Also apply to at least 6 DO schools
A September AMCAS application is late for MD schools but fine for DO schools.

Thank you! I was also wondering if the rule about applying by Labor Day for MD still holds?

If you apply in early September your application has to be verified and you will need to submit all your secondaries. So if you are very efficient you may have all your secondaries in by mid September. By that time all the September and most of the October interview slots have been filled.
