Hi SDN people,

Thank you for continued support in this forum. I have been accepted to an MD and a DO school. The MD school is CMED (Central Michigan University) and the D.O. school is Midwestern in Illinois. There are pros and cons to both schools and I have made my lists, but I was just wondering if anyone can chime in with some advice between picking an MD or DO school.

Thank you!

@Goro will you give me your opinion, please? Objectively!

Having the MD opens more doors to you.

CCOM's tuition is obscenely high.

Grads from both schools predominantly stay in the midwest and go into Primary Care

I can't find the match list for CCOM, so I can directly compare the two.
Thank you @Goro . Central Michigan out of state tuition is pretty expensive, too. I don't have family in either state, so I am flexible.

OK, what do you like more? Mackinac Island fudge or that casserole they call Chicago pizza?
Living in Chicago would probably be better for me since I have been here for so long, but I would live anywhere to go to medical school and if MD opens more doors than DO, then that would be the logical choice.
