A group of citizens approaches you with concerns about their “friend,” a 73 y/o M whose only known PMH is near-obesity, with a BMI of 29.9 (6’3” 239#). The “friend” himself is reluctant to seek medical care, but the group of concerned wellwishers states that his behavior has become increasingly erratic over the past 10 months. They present the following information to you:

* Two videos of the patient making what appear to be verbal paraphasic errors in 3/2019 and 4/2019

* A report that the patient was rushed to the hospital for undisclosed reasons in 11/2019.

* An unconfirmed report that the patient showed signs of left-sided weakness after the hospital visit in 11/2019.

* A video of the patient slurring his words in 1/2020.

Based on this limited data, what is in your differential?
