can't sell TPR MCAT books?

I talked to one of my past TPR teachers the other day and he said that we weren't allowed to sell the books that we received during the course. According to him, people at the company use programs to check ebay and craigslist. Has anyone ever heard of something like this? I was under the impression that we pretty much bought those books and now we can do whatever we want with them. Did we sign a contract or something I forgot about?
