Hi All,

I've seen great variance in the call required of pain fellows on my interviews. The range is no call at all to home call for a week at a time every other week all year. I have not seen any in hospital call.

What is/was call like at your ACGME pain fellowship or the fellowships you interviewed at?

Note, I'm not asking about attending level pain medicine call, but that is interesting as well.

Thanks.

For the ACGME PM&R based pain fellowships the call tended to be home call essentially qnightly to every other week for procedures with attending back-up.

For the anesthesia fellowships home call qweekly split among the fellows. Mostly it was for procedures done during the day. However some places fellows were second call with residents taking all first call.
