Brainstorm: community service

My school’s community involvement isn’t the strongest, but its located in my hometown. I’m an incoming M1 and, given the time, would like to give back to my own community in an impactful way.

What are some unique or interesting ways a medical student can help their community?

Student-run clinics were the best but likely not allowing students at this time due to covid. The next best thing might be online tutoring for underprivileged kids interested in the sciences. There are a lot of good opportunities, but the pandemic takes many of them off the table for now.
