A Chargers team doctor accidentally punctured Tyrod Taylor's lung just before kickoff Sunday while trying to administer a pain-killing injection, leading to the quarterback missing the team's game against the Chiefs, coach Anthony Lynn told ESPN.

Didn't file a grievance as he seems like a normal guy who understands that things happen with medical procedures but still risky. He signed a $5.5 million 1 year contract recently.

only reason to do them preop area is to increase efficiency.

we also have no extra hands here so we do them in OR. it's the same thing as doing them preop, except its in the OR. we give a bit of sedation and do them pre induction. no issues really. and avoid the potential legal problem in case there is nerve injury

only downside is block hasnt fully kicked in some times if they drape too fast
