Rising M2 who is having trouble finding a professor to work with and get research experience from.
Was thinking about doing literature reviews in my off time but I saw on a thread that journals usually tend to take them from experts in the field. Has anyone found success getting published either by themselves or with a group of other students?

iono about that, might cause issues with who gets authorship and smolder out because no one knows what they're doing. Some PIs threw me a bone when I just reached out in e-mail about stuff I found interesting in their research profile/areas of possible new research to pursue. They weren't even really PIs, just academic doctors. We wrote up some abstracts in a period of a few months and those got published.
