Hi there
I'm a South African grad who is on the standard pathway with the view to get general registration eventually. I have been offered a JHO position in a hospital in Brisbane to do my supervised year, so I count myself pretty lucky in that respect.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how hard it is to get into basic training for paediatrics, particularly if I have completed my supervised year and my clinical exam (which I plan to do). What are the prospects like? How competitive is paeds actually? I do know getting into an adult program isn't too hard so I was wondering what the comparison is like.
Any advice would be welcome
