What are the steps and what type of timeline would one be looking at?

From what I can gather is that there are several MSN programs for non nurses. But I don't think those lead to FNP... They're more for nursing education etc.

Thanks in advance!

Graduate with a BA in psychology. 4 years.

Find and attend a one year accelerated BSN program. One year.

Find and attend an NP program, and complete it while you work as an RN. 2 years.

Try to find a job as an FNP in an environment saturated with FNPs and PAs. 14 months. But that’s ok because you are working as an RN during that time and making good money.

Be sure to take into consideration the gaps between graduating one degree and starting your next degree. It might not work out to be perfectly aligned for optimum speed.

To be a competent Psych NP you would ideally need years of Psych RN experience. Working as an RN is honestly not a bad gig too
