UTMB 1 Year Internship Position (non-categorical)

We are currently taking applications for our internship position for the 2016-2017 year. We maintain a 4-year, traditional scope oral and maxillofacial surgery program. Currently, we accept one resident and one non-categorical intern per year.

Traditional Scope Program
- dentoalveolar, orthognathics, benign pathology, implants, trauma, and maxillofacial infections
- Call would be rotated between the intern, 2nd year resident, and 3rd year resident
  • Call for maxillofacial injury is rotated every 3rd day with OMFS, ENT, and Plastics
New Faculty member, Dr. Cesar Guerrero
  • With the addition of Dr. Guerrero, we have expanded our scope of practice
  • Dr. Guerrero is internationally recognized as a leader in distraction osteogenesis, maxillofacial reconstruction, zygomatic implants and correction of severe craniofacial deformities
Additional Information
- Weekly didactic schedule includes lectures given by both faculty and residents
- Dedicated OR on Wednesdays and Fridays, Clinics on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
- Paid position with full benefits
