athletes advantage for hpsp?

i am still in the "gathering information" mode for applying next year. as a varsity athlete (swimmer), would that give me any advantage in the application process, particularly for Navy HPSP?

a varsity sport can help a lot with both hpsp and medical school, depending on many variables. The military tends to like athletes, so i wouldn't be suprised if you got an additional edgem, but who knows.
