Army HPSP and School Selection

Hi everyone. Currently in the process of applying for the Army HPSP for medical school. I’m fortunate to have been accepted to two schools so far. I’m waiting to hear back from my top choice school. I’m in Texas so I may hear back on October 15th, or it could be March when I hear back. Does anyone know what happens if I submit an LOA from one of the two programs I’ve been accepted to thus far with my application packet and then am later accepted to my top choice school? I understand I can submit the packet without an acceptance in hand but have heard that having an acceptance in hand is more ideal. I’m prior service FWIW so I’m not sure if that has any impact on this decision algorithm. Thanks for your help.
