Curriculum: Curriculum

General overview:

1. Pre-clinical sciences are taken with DO students
2. First year students will be assigned to a Faculty mentor, who will guide the students throughout 4 years of medical school.
3. First year students will also be matched with second year students.
4. Research Scholarships are offered to those who would like to do research
5. MWU has open-door policy in order to allow students to communicate with their professors
6. Many different clubs and intramural sports.
7. Early clinical experience via free clinics for community and special olympic events

Board and Residency:

1. The most recent percentage of passing APMLE Part 1 (First-time) from Class of 2021 is 96.7%
2. The most recent percentage of passing AMPLE Part 2 (First-time) from Class of 2016-2019 is 98%
3. The most recent percentage of Residency placement from Class of 2019 is 100%.

AZPOD is the school of podiatric medicine....under the Midwestern University umbrella which also has other Schools of "XYZ".......

AZPOD is currently a School of Podiatric Medicine, which is housed in the College of Health Science at Midwestern University. However, we will be officially becoming our own independent in College of Podiatric Medicine in 2021, but we will still be an extension of Midwestern University. The brand new 10th CPM is in Texas.
