I've been reading up about GMOs in the Military, but can't find much on the role in AF. Are Flight Surgeons basically GMOs? The AF website also mentions Aerospace Medicine Specialists. Are these all the same or are there differences? Are these all options if you don't match?

Thanks!

Yes, flight surgeons are basically general medical officer for the Air Force. The big difference is that flight surgeons only work with flyers and their families. To become a flight surgeon, all you need is one year of residency training, followed by several weeks of the aerospace medicine primary courses. There is a separate residency in aerospace medicine that experienced flight surgeons can pursue. It involves earning a master of public health and performing an additional year of residency training.
