I had to open a dispute on my background check (about 10 days ago), and I haven't heard anything from the Application Station.
It's not a big deal, but I don't have a credit report (always deposited money under my parents names). My dad has the same name (no suffix, different middle name), so the background check reported that I used a different social security number (last 4 digits corresponded were my dads). I opened a dispute and told them my situation and that if they look at the SSN middle name/birth date/ or credit history to confirm that it was not me.
Any idea on how long these disputes take? Should I e-mail my admission offices to inform them why my background check is late in being released?
