I am an Indiana resident, Chemistry and German major with a psych minor.
cGPA: 3.5
sGPA: 3.3
I have a few leadership positions
Around 150 hours shadowing
Around 1000 hours lab experience (nothing published)
And around 400-500 hours direct patient contact experience plus a lot of other volunteer hours
MCAT was a 507 (126/130/126/125)
I had an injury right before freshman year which made it difficult to sit/walk and made doing well in school a struggle, so post-surgery senior year I've gotten a 4.0 ( not sure if this will help or not, any advice on how best to explain that on the apps would be appreciated)
Are there any MD schools I have a shot at or should I even bother with the AMCAS and just apply to DO schools?
