Hey guys, any help would be appreciated here and thank you very much for the help last time. I just have two things im not sure of here, the rest im pretty sure I have right.

1. wouldnt the name of the first one include a trans?

2. am i right that I shouldnt include a cis or a trans label on the 2nd one?

the mcat is a multiple choice test so I'm thinking this is homework.

and the answer to both of your naming questions is no. cis and trans are not part of IUPAC nomenclature, and you need to indicate the stereochemistry on the second one. (well, technically the answer to your 2nd question is yes since you shouldn't have cis/trans, but you should have something else. since this is homework I won't elaborate more)
