Is dentistry just like medicine meaning after dental school you go into a residency in dentistry or do you just go straigth to work after dental school? I am very interested in denstistry. Als is the same financial aid available for dental students as medical students?

You don't have to do any residency after you graduate from dental school. There is general residency available (I think it was 1 year), if you want to do it though. You can also go into specialty programs after you graduate, if you want to specialize.

What kind of financial aid is offered to medical students? As a dental student, we can get subsidized stafford loan and unsubsidized stafford loan. If your parents are lower income, you can qualify for health professions student loan (HPSL) as well. Many schools also give out merit based scholarships, though it usually doesn't cover too much.
