AECOM, Mt. Sinai, and NYU

I will be attending one of these medical schools. I'd really appreciate any info and opinions anyone has on the neurosurgery programs at these schools, in terms of learning, doing research, best place to match from, a surgeon or researcher to stalk, etc. Thanks.

Awesome post. I'm accepted at Einstein and waitlisted at NYU, so there's a strong chance I, too, may be at one of these places. Any feedback from residents/medical students would be much appreciated.

Btw, for what it's worth, NYU had 4 ns matches this year...

getting into NS residency is applicant dependent: if you have good grades, board scores, and research, you will get into a good program. Since ppl usually do well at places they like, you should just pick a place where you like the best.

Besides, most ppl change their minds as they go through med school. However, if you are absolutely gunning for NS, Columbia matched extremely well this year (and many years past) in NS.
