Hello! I'm an incoming medical student and will be starting school in the fall. I would really appreciate some advice from those of you who have gone through the process of applying to residency. I am very interested in Radiation Oncology but I know that it's a pretty competitive field that requires research. Besides trying to find a PI and a possible project to work on in the field (I've been trying to contact a few investigators at the school I'll be matriculating at with little luck so far), I was wondering if I could get any advice about anything that I could do during my first 2 years in school.
Are there any words of wisdom that you could impart on those about to start med school?
Thank you in advance!
