I recently found out that a paper I submitted was accepted for publication. Since I cannot change my CAF anymore, how should I go about letting the programs know that I have another paper accepted - should I send e-mails to the program coordinators, should I send letters, make phone calls, what does everyone think? This is particularly important because I am applying for surgery, and this is my first publication in the surgical literature.

Thank you so much for your help.

you could always add a blurb to the end of your personal statement and re-submit it since you can change that
