Although the rankings are interesting, by their nature they are somewhat subjective. It might be interesting to have a thread that shows whether programs tend to have graduates go into academics, practice, or a mix. This at least will create an evidence based list. As programs can change with time, perhaps use the past 5 years including the class about to become seniors in an effort to reflect the current state of affairs. T. Balboni published a paper in the Red Journal (2007) reviewing a 13 year period for JCRT residents and 65% started in academics which got me thinking about this. I will start with my own program-Yale. If it is unknown regarding the class of 2009, count as +/- and consider it a NO for academics. Historically there have been a variety of people who are known in academics from Yale (Fischer-former Yale chair; Order-former Hopkins chair; Hellman-started the JCRT, former Dean U of C; Prosnitz-former chair at Duke, Harrison-former chief of brachy at MSK, now chair at BI, ASTRO president, Haffty-UMDNJ chair, Glazer-Yale chair, Wilson-Yale vice chair, King-Stanford GU), but lets get modern:
