BOTH Abortion counseling for COMLEX PE / USMLE CS

Hi all,

Have anyone who took COMLEX PE or USMLE CS encountered an Ob/Gyn case of unwanted pregnancy where you had to present the patient with options? I'm pro-life and, if it comes to this, would not offer D&C. How do I approach this so I won't lose points for that case?

The answer they want for those questions is to "Refer patient to another PROVIDER [hate that word] who will perform the procedure."

In the setting of the PE you will not be asked to take on the role of an OBGYN doc. Its EM / Family setting for the most part as I understand it. You should NOT interject your personal beliefs into the conversation in any way ( honestly who cares) and get them referred to the right place to handle their needs emotionally and physically. My 2cents as a physician you shed your personal biases and practice in the best interest of your patient and their wants and needs. Youre neither pro life or pro abortion, youre pro patient.
