Hi,

I want to apply for admission into DDS for session 2005. I recently came accross AADSAS forms. It says that this is the centralized way to apply for admission to various schools.

Here is the link for the form.

http://www.adea.org/AADSAS/webdocs/AppAppForm.pdf

Please inform me whether this is the only channel to apply or can i apply directly to universties like NYU/Boston/Upenn.....?

An early response is highly appriciated.

For getting an admission to the dental colleges in the US there are two ways:

1. Take the prerequisite classes gen chem, org chem, phy, bio , etc.
Take the DAT which consists of org chm, gen chm, PAT, math sections etc.
Apply through AADSAS to all the 54 schools and then fill out secondaries
for schools that provide you with one (you can select from them and each
has a separate fee)
(Of course other conditions vary from school to school )
THIS TAKES ATLEAST 2 YEARS

2. If you are a foreign trained dentist,
Take nbde I and/or II
Fill in separate forms for each school with advanced standing you are
applying to and then proceed with that school
