Hello. To put shortly, I took Microbio in my university and received D a year ago. Retook it this time around, and got an A-.

Not freaking out. Just wondering how seriously will the adcoms look at it since it is a retake.

thanks in advance for your replies.

I got a D- in calculus, retook it and got an A-. Don't stress about it at all

the fact you got an A- the second time around will be looked at positively.

While you would typically be expected to get at least an A on a retake, getting an A- on a retake isn't the end of the world. Getting a B+ or lower on a retake would be much more concerning.

Really? I figure that getting a B+ after not passing the first time is impressive. Below passing to a B+ is quite the jump in performance level.
