A very interesting TED talk by Dr. Verghese about the patient-provider relationship. With APTAs Vision 2020, PTs will inevitably carry the role of primary care, at least for MSK disorders, and with APTA furthering it's approach towards Vision 2020 and achieving such aspects as direct access and provider of choice, I think what Dr. Verghese is talking about has the potential to make it or break it for PTs and future PTs--at least contribute to it. What's the use of direct access if PTs are the providers of choice--if patients don't want or think of coming to PTs first for their MSK issues?

Just a good video to watch and think about in your free time. Not meant to incite any crazy debate about PT credibility or capability of shouldering responsibilities of MSK primary care, or how this doctor is crazy, or how this is touchy feely "crap", etc.
