4 year OMFS for alternative pathway candidate?

Hi as the title suggests, I have unrestricted licenses in multiple states via the AEGD route and currently working in a community health centre. Is there anyone that has been successful in getting into OMFS via this pathway? Everyone I have spoken to about it say that it is basically impossible even without needing a visa.

It is extremely rare it seems. Someone shared the international stats recently and out of 289 some acceptees to OMFS only 1 international was accepted. Given the fact that OMFS is one of the most competitive specialties I would say you shouldn't count on that route. I am certain that the one that was accepted was a stellar candidate and likely was an OMFS in their home country and probably had an academic background.
