I've received multiple holds and only 1 (phone) interview from western michigan so far. I submitted my primary early, finished all secondaries mid-Aug to early-Sep. Really bummed it didn't work out. I have a few things to add on for next year (40 hours of shadowing, MSc degree, first author papers), but I'm really scared I won't get in because of no IS status anywhere. Are there schools that would accept IS status if I work for a year prior to matriculation? If so where would it be best to move? Thanks for the help!

MU-COM
DMU-COM
ATSU-KCOM
KCU-COM
AZCOM

NYITCOM
Touro-NY
LECOM (all schools)
UNECOM
For MD schools I suggest these:
Oakland Beaumont

Wake Forest
Virginia Commonwealth
Eastern Virginia
George Washington
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Penn State
Hackensack

New York Medical College
Albany
Vermont
Quinnipiac
Belmont (when it opens)
You should accumulate 20 hours of primary care shadowing before you apply.

Here are the things I would suggest most focusing on:
- Non-clinical volunteering
- Clinical shadowing exposure in primary care
- Reviewing/re-writing your essays. There may be something that you can't see from your perspective that could be impacting your application.

Also you can drop UCLA from the list. Perhaps Case Western as well.
