Michigan resident
Attend a small liberal arts school in Missouri
Science GPA: 4.0 Overall: 4.0
MCAT breakdown: 10/10/11 <---should I retake???
EC's:
-I have been a TA for gen chem/biochem/quant (2 years)
-Chemistry Lab Assistant (2 years/employment)
-Host/Tour Guide on campus (2 years/employment)
-Executive Member of Alpha Chi and Sigma Zeta Honor Societies (1.5 years)
-Haiti Medical Service Trip (1 month)
-Neuroscience Intern at hospital (1 year)
-Just recently finished a neurosurgery fellowship at the U of Michigan
-finalist in photography in national competition
-been in leadership at a summer camp (6 years)
-my school does not have funding for research, but helped start 3 student-led research groups that have gone on to present (poster pub)
-currently doing student-led research on folic acid with pending funding from CDC
~500+ clinical hours (neurosurgery/general surg/family med/nonprofit clinic mostly)
~250+ non-clinical volunteer hours
I also have good LOR's
