3.95 cGPA, 3.95 sGPA
516 (128/128/130/130)
Indiana Residency
White Hispanic (Spanish)
EO1
Public state undergrad - Neuroscience
2400 hours between two hospitals as a patient care tech, another 1300 projected
700 research hours with a mid-authorship in review to high impact and a first authorship in submission, another 320 hours in progress (current summer internship) and 410 projected for next year
3 poster presentations
2 competitive research fellowship/awards
100 hours of shadowing between internal medicine, general surgery, critical care
160 hours tutoring general chemistry
40 hours tutoring underserved students through chemistry labs at my undergraduate
20 hours COVID vaccination clinic
20 hours at food bank, 50 projected
4 hours tutoring homeless children at shelter, 32 projected
8 hours volunteering at LGBT pride event
8x dean's list
award for highest chemistry departmental GPA
300 hours rock climbing hobby
big focus on studying medicine and bringing it back to the rural area where I grew up, focus of personal statement
had to financially support myself through undergrad in every facet
I have no idea where to apply or how to gauge my competitiveness.
Hoping for advice on where I should range my school list (high-tier, mid-tier, low-tier?)
Not wanting to attend DO
Thanks!
