Just thought I'd get some feedback on the schools I'm looking to apply to...here's an overall summary of my application...

Senior at Brigham Young University
Major: Spanish Translation
Science GPA: 3.85
Overall GPA: 3.91
MCAT: Just took it yesterday (5/27) felt pretty good about it, tests scores were consistently 34-35.
Residency: AZ

ECs:

1.5 years as a volunteer EMT on campus about 10 hours a week.
2-3 month summer volunteer internship in Bolivia working in a small clinic for women and children. Weighed kids, gave vaccinations and taught small health awareness classes to groups of women.
1 year- tutor in both physiology and spanish translation
2 year church mission to Venezuela and the last few months in Nashville because Chavez kicked us out.
3 year university intramural sport particpant and champion in volleyball and racquetball
2 year research...biophysics research about gap junction and plaques. Nothing published.
2 years...non medically related jobs during school about 10-15 hours a week.
6 months- spanish medical interpreter for a clinic near BYU for the uninsured
about 20 hours shadowing a hospitalist a long time ago
Eagle scout
Variety of church service
1 year on presidency for international student association
4 year full tuition scholarship
4 years Phi Kappa Phi

I know a lot of this depends on my mcat score but here is a list of the schools i'm considering which I'll probably shorten:

University of Arizona (state school)
University of Utah
Loma Linda
University of Miami (would love to speak spanish on rotations)
Ohio State
Med school of Wisconsin (they like BYU students)
Stanford (reach)
Vanderbilt
Baylor
U of Boston
Drexel
Maryland
Creighton
St. Louis University
Georgetown
George Washington
University of Virginia

Any other schools I would be competitive at? Maybe a few more out west? Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

Why Maryland? Very low OOS...

Try VCU and EVMS - a couple of VA schools that take a healthy number of OOS...
