Question:
1. What are the chances of getting into Texas medical school (MD) for academic year 2016.
2. Since my GPA is low, is it worth writing MCAT again (new format).

1. Volunteering work in couple of hospitals.
2. Teaching assistant in my current school (UTD)
3. Held leadership positions in various fraternity and Honor societies


Military: I am not a veteran (typo error). I am 22 years old.

Texas schools seem to particularly like physician shadowing, especially in primary care, and nonmedical community service, especially hands-on assistance to those in need. A research experience is also valued, though not essential if you are strong in another area. Do you have plans to add these activities before applying?

How many active clinical experience hours will you have at the hospitals when you apply? How many terms as a TA?

I don't think you need to retake the MCAT.

It looks like you have good longevity in some areas.

Under research you said, "Will end up with 2 or 3 by the time . . . ". I'm not sure what you mean. Two or three months, years, labs, posters, presentations, publications, or what?

Also, is your GPA over the last year or two showing an upward trend? What brought it down?
