So, since one of our members just got accepted into a program (the first known one for the season), I think this thread is in order! :)

Good luck everybody. I hope we'll all get into a school we're excited about at the end of this interview season! :luck:

You can either post here or PM me. Please include the type of program, date the offer was extended, and who you heard from (POI, grad secretary, etc.) so that I can keep this first post as up to date as possible.

Notified of alternate status 2/3 via US Postal Service
More information promised as it becomes available

Congratulations to all of you getting accepted or being alternates :)

So, what do you guys think of adding the alternate information to the list. Do you think it's better to have a separate list within the first post? A new thread? Just mixed in with the acceptances? I can do either way, I just want your opinions!

Looks like last year they had wait lists as a separate list in the first post. Seems like an easy way to do it.

I always hoped I could post in this thread and now I can officially say I can!!

U of Southern Mississippi - Counseling Psych. Ph.D.!

Hello, Im still waiting to hear something from UWM also. Have you been officially wait listed there ... is that what you mean by your "waiting for someone to say "no","? I'm curious because I have yet to be notified either way and would really like to hear something.

Hello MSPP Accepted,
I'm still waiting for a reply. Did you apply as a regular student or Advanced Standing? I applied as Advanced Standing and I'm hoping I still have a chance!
thanks

May I ask the person who got accepted who there POI is? My application status still says "In Review"

Hi twilson,
Not sure if you are talking about MSPP application process and interviews: Here's what their webpage says about admissions. There are several processes in play including Advanced Standing, Early Consideration and General Considerations. General Considerations are still in review for everyone. I hope this is helpful.
below info copied directly from the MSPP website:
for Early Consideration: Friday & Saturday, January 27-28, 2012.
for General Consideration: Friday & Saturday, March 2-3, 2012 and Friday & Saturday, March 9-10, 2012.
Advanced Standing interviews will be scheduled on different dates by appointment.
Interview invitations for Early Consideration are released in late December and for General Consideration in mid February. Interview confirmation is required by the date specified on your invitation.

I applied for regular admissions, yet somehow ended up in the early admissions group. They only had one of my recommendations on file as of the interview day as well. It was a bit bizarre actually, however they said they would extend most acceptances after their regular interview days in February/March...you have plenty of time.

Has anyone who interviewed at Penn State last weekend received an offer yet?

Has anyone who interviewed at Penn State last weekend received an offer yet?

I think it's probably a little too early for that since interviews were just conducted this Friday and Saturday (although I have heard of some programs making their decisions super fast).
