I see there are 60 programs listed here but only 53 under the FREIDA PRS-Integrated Search. Why the 7 program difference? Thanks in advance.

1. Someone added McGill, which is a non US program

2. I misnamed the thread. It should technically be integrated/combined results. Programs like SLU, penn, Utah and a few others (including Emory because of some weirdness with the way the program is listed) are under the plain "plastic surgery" heading in freida. Unfortunately, there is no way to split them out from the advanced positions under freida. You can search for "pgy1 position offered," and that helps, but since not all programs provide all info, it doesn't ensure you'll catch them all. You will have to search ERAS when it opens to see which programs you can apply to.

Hope this helps.

So when I come to apply to ERAS is it good enough to just check off the "Integrated" category or will I have to go through every program on the regular "Plastic Surgery" tab to find out which ones I'm missing? I'm applying for Away rotations so your response is very helpful. Thanks.

I started off with integrated and then looked through the Plastic Surgery tab as well to make sure I got all of the ones I applied to. It is time consuming going through them all to make sure you get all programs, but its worth the time it takes if it means you end up matching.

Another thing to think about is reviewing the ACAPS website. Several programs are Independent but are transitioning to integrated but they don't know if they will be able to be in the upcoming match until summer or later. It is a good idea to take a peak at the website since often this is one of the first places announcements about newly integrated programs go.
