The Division of Interventional Radiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City will be hosting the 1st Annual NYC Medical Student Interventional Radiology Symposium - Friday, March 14, 2014
REGISTRATION IS FREE FOR MEDICAL STUDENTS!
Interventional Radiology revolutionizes medicine through the use of image-guided, minimally invasive therapeutics. From the use of angioplasty and catheter-delivered stents for peripheral artery disease to the treatment of tumors with thermal ablation, interventional radiology offers an evolving and advancing array of medical procedures.
The Vascular and Interventional Radiology division at Mount Sinai aims to promote learning and networking opportunities for medical students interested in a career in radiology, interventional radiology, or minimally invasive therapy. The Division is a national leader in patient care, education, and research.

The goal of the symposium is to introduce current medical students to the innovative, minimally invasive, and clinically oriented field of Interventional Radiology. Information about the newly ACGME approved combined residency program will be provided in detail.
