Not taking it sounds like a terrible idea. Your best shot of passing the naplex is right after graduation. All you need is one job that requires licensure and you’re done for.

You can self-justify all you want. If you don’t get your license for a reason this stupid, good luck passing PhD qualifiers.
To be clear, you didn’t do the research on why you should be licensed when you can be in biomedical research. The doors it closes are something you lack appreciation over even if standard practice is not your calling.

One of my classmate went straight to PhD training right after graduation. She did take the board exam and got licensed. She is now working as a pharmacist for the FDA (after getting her PhD). Maybe you need both RPh & PhD for your dream job???.

You spent 4 years at a program that prepared you to take this test - is it that much of a burden to sit one last time to carry the license in your back-pocket? The future is never certain, and compared to what you've done up to this point in school, this should be an easy choice.
