I think ortho has a rep for being one of the hardest residencies to actually *do*.. Because you're learning so much that you never learned in med school, *and* having to do surgery.

...AND they have to learn to forget everything they did learn in medical school except anatomy and then learn how to call consults.

Sorry...just couldn't resist! Ortho is notorious for this.
