What to expect during orientation week?

What happens during orientation week at optometry school? Since it's before classes start is it more of a general informational session or should you still bring pen and paper and taking notes because it's a lot of details?

Also what's the typical attire?

Any ideas on expectations would be greatly appreciated.

What do you think Orientation entails? Orientation to a new job or undergrad - the purpose is just to give you a rough introductory to your new facility and going over policies, faculty, expectations, contact info, ice breakers, etc.

Campus tours, curriculum, understanding security and emergency protocols, yada yada yada. Why not bring a pen and paper.

Wear business casual as you'll probably be taking photo IDs and MAKE A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION.
