Hey all, I am a second year resident at a mid tier program wanting to go into GI, Im presenting a couple of case reports at ACG in October. As Im looking through the conference schedule Im just curious if there are certain things I should be doing to maximize my efforts at matching next year, or is it simply just going to a few lectures, maybe meeting a couple of people here and there and enjoying the craps tables? Thanks for your input.

have fun. look at all the neat technology shown at the conferences. have a mini vaca at vegas.

contrary to what u may think, u ll hardly have 10-20 visitors for your poster. U may chat with ppl around ur poster, like residents and fellows. otherwise everyone is going around doing their own stuff, listening to lectures they wanna hear. Most residents come there to take time off of residency and enjoy vegas, at program's expense. u can meet them at casinos, bars, clubs. not much to help ur GI fellowship application
