Do the FA Cases and FA Q&A reference FA 2010 in their answer sections? That would be a nice way to cross-reference the material in each question with the FA 2010 manual.

Are the questions in First Aid Q & A similar to those on the USMLERx question bank or are they completely different?

How can this best be used in conjunction with First Aid for the USMLE/COMLEX? I am trying to decide between using First Aid vs using other review programs. What advantage would the Q&A book offer when compared to larger question banks such as USMLEWorld or Kaplan?

are the pre-test clinical vignettes separated by subjects. it says "timed" is there an online complement to the book?

What sort of online accesses/features are made available to those who purchase hardcopies of these books? Some corporations allow for integration links or even practice exam questions and I am wondering if such features are included with the online access. Thanks for your help

I assume the First Aid books reference FA in the answer keys. Which years do they reference? Do any of the other question/case books do that?

No, they do not directly reference the core Step 1 book because that is revised annually. The tables of contents line up to encourage parallel study, and each book reinforces the other to build on the information learned in Step 1.

How do the First Aid Q&A and Lange Q&A differ?

First Aid Q&A is correlated to the First Aid Step 1 book and contains the best ~1,000 Q&A from USMLE Rx’s test bank; It has chapters organized the same as the core Step 1 book and also contains a complete mock exam at the end of the book. Lange Q&A contains questions that are not available in any online test bank, organized by subject area and including a comprehensive exam at the end of the book; discussions of correct and incorrect answers are included.

Our online question bank is www.USMLEasy.com. It compliments the Pretest book series. You can go there now and try it out for free. Also we are raffling off a 30day free trial ... you can enter by emailing me at [email protected].

Yes they are seperated by subject and www.USMLEasy.com is our online question bank that compliments the book. We are raffling off a 30day free trial of USMLEasy so if you would like to enter please email me at [email protected].

Is the information in most of these books redundant? What makes each different from the other?

Each book works in different ways ... it offers the students different study styles to meet your needs. For instance, if you have gone over all of the material using First Aid, read over the questions in pretest but feel you want a quick overview right before the test then you may turn to Deja Review (flashcard style). So each book is covering what you need to know but just delivering the information in different ways.
