When was your application verified? Did you receive an email saying UF is reviewing your application?

It was a very long six weeks waiting for that interview offer. BS degree, 3.02 GPA/3.00 sGPA. ~3500 hours pharmacy tech experience (year and a half, 40+ hours a week). FL RPT and CPhT.

I was in contact with Mary Beth and asked if they received my application. I did submit it on September 5th (the very last day). She told me on September 14th that "we've received everything that we need for your file." I'm not sure if that counts as verified or that UF is evaluating my application. Is there a different email I am suppose to receive?

Any input would be great!

Hi Macca--

I'm also a UF student
Science GPA 3.4
Composite PCAT 77
Pharmacy and customer service experience throughout undergrad
2 pharmacist LORS and 2 professor LORS
Orgo TA and other strong leadership positions

Your verification date is the day that PharmCAS marks your application status as "Verified." You can check this in your PharmCAS app in the "Check Status" section.

Did you take your PCAT recently? I had mine in September and according to Mary Beth, those who took it then weren't reviewed for the first interview date but will be likely notified for one of the second two! Good luck!

I think your stats looks great. I was notified a week before the interview day so you still have time :)

Thank you! I checked on PharmCAS when my application had been been verified and it says September 14. I hope that’s not too late to be considered for ED. I did submit everything on September 5th.

Hi Macca,

Science GPA 3.5
Composite PCAT 90
4 years RPhT
1 year research (also serving as a mentor and team leader in the lab)
ROL's from pharmacy supervisor, a UF pharmacist, and the professor I am doing research with.

UF is by far my number one choice so I hope it's enough :nailbiting:.

My application has been verified awhile ago, but I still haven't got any indication that they have received my application. Does it come in a email from UF? Should I contact them to ask about my application?

I had the same issue and my application got verified 3 weeks ago. Do they have interview dates coming up? Other than the one on dec 1?

Hey Lily

I never received an e-mail verifying that the admissions team had received my application. I simply got the verification on Pharmcas and then a few weeks later the e-mail for the interview. I'm not sure if this is the norm but maybe others can provide input as well.

UF's priority deadline is December 31st. I'm assuming since we applied well in advanced we should be getting interviews for the month of January. Hopefully, they get back to us soon!

The email I got is from a do-not-reply email that says something like this:

Thank you for applying to the UF College of Pharmacy. We now have your completed application. We will start reviewing applications soon. If you applied Early Decision and are offered an Interview you will Interview on one of the following days. If you have any questions please email me at: pharmdadmission at cop.ufl.edu.

I got this email a week after pharmcas verified my application. But I applied early decision, things could be different for regular admission.

Good luck!

Thanks! I got my first choice for campus (Jacksonville). They said that everyone who interviewed through Dec 31st has priority in which campus they get.

What exactly is the December 31st priority date? Is that based on when you got your interview or if you submitted before December 31st?

Their website says if you submit before December 31st we get priority review. Not sure if this guarantees us our first campus preference.

For those who already submitted their applications and have been verified by Pharmcas, what was the difference between the overall and science GPA from your school versus the one that Pharmcas calculated? I know there's slightly different point systems they use and was wondering if it made a difference.

mine made a very big difference. With my school my science GPA was about a 2.7, but on pharmCAS it was a 3.0 which helped my application a lot.

Nothing special 3.0 Science GPA, and 50th percentile on the PCAT. What helped out my application was that I did a research program at UF over the summer so one of my rec letters was from a UF faculty member which made up for my very low PCAT scores. My personal statement and supplemental questions were very strong as well.
