is it possible to use your materials to prepare the test in one month?

I am on budget....why should I choose your product over others?

The Princeton Review offers more in-person hours, more hours of Verbal Reasoning prep, more diagnostic exams plus 20 hours of in-person extra help with your instructor so you get more bang for your buck!

  • RESULTS: Our students boast an average 10 point score improvement on the MCAT. In fact, the top quarter of our students average 12 points improvement.
  • LIVE HOURS: We have the most live hours - we believe in the teach-student relationship where we guide you through the material teaching you strategy and content.
  • LIVE CLASSES: We have 42 class sessions so you can learn and implement what you learn while having time with your instructors to make sure you fully understand the concepts; Kaplan has 18.
  • INSTRUCTORS: We have a team of 3-5 superior instructors, each an expert in his or her subject - unlike some other companies who may provide one instructor.
  • MATERIALS: We hand out more materials in class - up to 4,300 pages of comprehensive, up-to-date materials
  • VERBAL: We have 22.5 hours of Verbal preparation, an area in which students are very fearful of.
  • ESSAY GRADING: We use Livegrader technology for feedback, including 2 from AAMC.
  • EXAMS: 19 full-length practice tests, including all officially released AAMC exams.
  • GUARANTEE: We offer a satisfaction/moneyback guarantee.
  • ONLINE: We have additional MCATs' worth of subject-specific drills online plus all our exams and explanations are online while some companies do not offer online resources.

is it possible to use your materials to prepare the test in one month?

Wow, one month is a tall order. How much do you need to improve your score? Typically one month is NOT an adequate amount of time to fully prepare for the exam. Most of our students spend over 300 hours prepping for the exam to achieve an amazing score. If you spent 50 hours per week for the month you still don’t even come close to the amount of prep they will do.

So I will ask you again, what score do you need (or how much do you need to improve)? If you have taken the MCAT before, or you have done some practice testing and know you only need a few points, then that may be a different story. Since I don’t know your story, then based on your 1 sentence question, yes it is possible but not practical for the best improvement you will probably need. Too many students make the mistake of condensing their prep in a short amount of time and not spacing it out enough to really work on their weak areas. That comes with learning the material in the books, processing the strategy and techniques, putting into practice what you learned through the practice exams (with analysis), then continue working on the areas you need to improve.

Yes, our materials are incredible and will allow you to cover the content/topics, learn and practice what you need but I want to make sure you properly approach it with enough time to really take advantage of all that our materials have to offer. When you say our materials, are you including access to all our practice tests? If not, that is also a big key you are missing. In addition, most of our students are taking 10-20 exams through the program (and that is hard to do in one month).

Anyway, if you reconsider, The Princeton Review offers different prep options that range from an intensive three month program just before the test (4-5 days per week) to a more spaced out six month program (2 times per week).

If you don’t have a baseline test score yet, try our free MCAT practice test. When you finish the test, you'll get a complete score report detailing your strengths and weaknesses. Let me know your score then and I can give you a better idea if your proposed one month prep plan is really feasible (based on your baseline and goal score). But if you are satisfied with your results, then you may be ready. If you feel that you still need help, check out The Princeton Review's many MCAT test preparation options or give one of our advisors a call at 888-955-4600 or give me a call at 888-758-7737x5017.

Thanks,
Anthony
