Hey guys, I recently learned about the standardized LOR that programs use. Can't believe I hadn't heard about it before. Feels just like EM LOR.
Is this something widely used? Do PD generally just look at the markings and move on? Just worried that anything below "top" on the rubric is already a death sentence. Letters of rec at least allowed writers to hone in on your strengths, now they may feel obligued to have to grade something bellow stellar.
I asked someone who is notoriously hard on his residents and hard to impress to write me a letter - hoping to play on my character aspects and commitment that I showed throughout. Now I feel like i shot myself in the foot with the rubric.
