Hi everyone, we are a group of researchers based at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (in Ottawa, ON, Canada) conducting a qualitative study analyzing thread posts made by participants regarding how, when, and why cynicism develops as one progresses in medical training.

We are interested in gathering consent for quotes posted in the following threads: (however, additional opinions and quotes are welcome if they are relatable to this theme)
1) How does med school change a person?
2) Why the cynicism?
3) Excessive and unnecessary stress on med students/doctors?
4) Mental health in medical school

I have attached the approved REB for our study. If you would like to participate or agree to have your thread used, please send me a PM or email at [email protected].

Thank you,
CHEO Hidden Curriculum Research Team
