Welcome Test Prep Week Participants!

Admit2Med is thrilled to be donating a free Strategy Session with our admissions coaches Miriam and Yael.

A strategy session is a 1-hour customized q and a that you can use carte blanche to improve your application. We will send you a personal questionnaire that will help us prepare and tailor the session to your needs. Whether you have years to go before medical school or you are about to write your personal statement, this service can be useful to you.

Admit2Med is proud to work with students who are exploring medical, dental or veterinary school. All our clients deal directly with Co-founders Miriam and Yael, there are no middle-men or faceless "team members". Our personal touch can really go a long way towards helping you achieve your dream profession.

To enter the raffle simply post a question on one of our threads and Miriam and Yael will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Also, don't forget to check-out our website www.admit2med.com

Is this service an evaluation of our premedical extracurriculars or will it also cover techniques on how to fill out the AMCAS application?

Sabio - this is YOUR hour, so you can decide what you want to discuss and work on. We can talk about your extracurriculars and how to present them in the AMCAS and the interview, how to approach the AMCAS and be ready for the summer, school selection, and more. Students also love to use this time to talk about their game plan in terms of timing and strategy. You can even prepare an agenda with your q&a ...

Hi! This looks like a great service. I've seen others that offer similar consultations/sessions/"tutoring" for admissions, etc. How do you differ from other companies on the market?

Thanks!

Hi Plumhill! Our session is unique in a few ways.

1) We have no agenda. You get to dictate how you use your strategy time with us. We can cover anything from undergraduate course selection to getting off medical school waitlists. The options are unlimited and specifically tailored to your needs.

2) You work directly with Miriam or Yael. You do not get sent to a "team member" or affiliate. This allows you to know exactly what you are signing up for and ensures you work with someone who actually has admissions experience.

3) It is not part of a "package". While we have packages for students who want multiple services to give them a discount, we do not believe in forcing applicants who only need one specific service to buy an expensive package that includes things they do not need. This is an hourly service that allows you to focus on the questions you have and to move from topic to topic as you wish without having to buy things you don't need. At many companies in order to get an hour carte blanche for someone to answer your questions you must buy an inclusive pre-med ultimate package or some other such nonsense.

Would you be willing to help edit the personal statement during the strategy session?

Would you be willing to help edit the personal statement during the strategy session?

Great question Bambi16!

During the strategy session we can brainstorm ideas for a personal statement or read a personal statement and give feedback about content and answer related questions. We cannot actually go over the document and point out spelling/grammar or sentence structure issues. This is because the strategy session is meant to be face to face (or voice to voice if you don't have skype or google video) and editing line by line is not interactive.

Fear not though, we do have editing services for those who want a comprehensive essay work up (AMCAS or secondaries or editing or AMCAS fill in boxes other than the essay) that includes not only feedback on content but also the more technical aspects of grammar, spelling and sentence structure. You can check them out here.

Will you be able to review old AMCAS for reapplicants? Thank you

AMCAS can no doubt be confusing. If someone were to utilized this, do you feel as though they would have a good idea/direct route of action to being able to complete their AMCAS information to the best of their ability?

Thanks for your question!

During this one hour we can certainly talk about your AMCAS application and strategies for filling it out if you wish. However if you want line by line editing you might want to consider our editing services Since the hour is interactive it is not a time when we go off into a corner and read grammar/sentence structure but we can talk about content and general strategies with you.

If someone would like help completing their entire AMCAS application they might also not want to be restricted by an hour time limit. I would suggest contacting us to create a pacakge specifically designed for what you want.

what's your successful rate of your past clients? How many schools does your company advise students to apply?

what's your successful rate of your past clients? How many schools does your company advise students to apply?

Both great questions! Applicants have used our services for essay writing, mock-interviews and sometimes the entire application process. Therefore success rate is a bit general of a term but I can say that students who worked with us in past years on numerous parts of their application have had roughly 80% success in gaining admission to an allopathic medical school (many had multiple acceptances). It is very rare for us to have a client express dissatisfaction with our services. Many wish they had heard of us sooner and were able to utilize our services for more steps in the process thus improving their chances. We are still waiting on the complete results of this season but so far our clients this year have been accepted to several medical and veterinary programs that do rolling admissions. To read more about our client happiness and success visit our testimonial page.

In terms of school selection, you need to consider each student and their application individually. While one student may be well served by applying to 10 schools another might be advised to apply to 20. However, once you reach 25 we find that students would be better advised to avoid this shotgun approach and work in a more focused fashion on a targeted list of schools that suits their profile. We are happy to help students narrow and refine their school lists. For more on this topic, check out our recent blog post!

Is one hour usually enough to give the student enough to go on for the personal statement and application?
